Correctional Operations

Prerequisite: The Administration of Justice

This course is designed to help prepare students for careers as correctional officers at all government levels. Students will explore the various operational procedures involved in the induction, detention, and release of an offender. Students will become familiar with the rights and responsibilities of correctional officers as well as the right and expectations of the inmate population. Students who complete this course of study with an “A” or “B” are eligible to earn 3 college credits through Wor-Wic Community College.
