Students will receive fundamental instruction in the basic concepts of PV systems and their components along with general sizing and electrical/mechanical design requirements, installation and monitoring. Basic solar theory will be introduced. Topics of study include but are not limited to site assessment, system designs, installation, inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Students will also receive fundamental instruction in the basic concepts of solar thermal systems, their components, installation and maintenance practices.
