Families,

As you know, the Board of Education approved December 20 through 22 as distance learning days for our students. The Friday preceding these days, December 17, is also an early dismissal day during which our teachers will be preparing the lessons for your child. This is also a great opportunity to share with you the expectations for your child’s learning on these days and in the event that our schools transition to distance learning as a result of inclement weather.

The below/attached graphicgives a detailed overview of what you and your child should expect during these distance learning days. Now, we also know that connectivity (and the availability of devices)remains an issue for many of our families, so please rest assured that in alignment with our policies, your child will have five (5) school days from the date we return to in-person learning to complete any assigned schoolwork.

We also will make every effort to give your child opportunities to complete theirwork within this timeframe.As we near the distance learning days in December, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher or me with any questions you may have.
